Borghamn - Örberga, Östgötaleden

From Borghamn you walk north along quiet country roads, dirt roads and
open fields. Here you will encounter wide views of the plain and Vättern's blue
the horizon. Just east of Borghamn is Bårstad outdoor swimming pool if you want to take
a refreshing dip.

Explore attractions such as the stone museum in Örberga, historic
quarries and Iron Age remains that bear witness to thousands of years of history. In Örberga
awaits a church from the 12th century with a connection to St. Birgitta - you
walk in her footsteps. In Örberga and Nässja it is possible to stay overnight in
simpler pilgrim accommodation next to the church.

The stage has a common route with the St. Birgitta Ways pilgrimage trail - a collective name for all pilgrimage trails that lead to Vadstena and connect pilgrimage destinations in the Nordic countries and Europe.
