Ågelsjön

Ågelsjön is one of the most popular nature reserves near Norrköping. Here you can hike, canoe, swim and climb. The cliffs along Ågelsjön are well known to climbers all over the country. For those who want to fish, there are pike, perch and burbot in the lake, but don't forget to buy a fishing license.

There are several marked trails in the reserve. At Tallholmen there is a shelter and along the trail there are barbecue areas. As a visitor, it is important to be careful with the fire, extinguish after yourself and only burn in organized places. There is also an accessible trail, and along it is Little Brother's Fairy Tale Trail, a trail for children with illustrations from Jonna Björnstjerna's picture book The Tale of the Wonderful Family Rabbit and the Monster in the Forest. In the fall of 2022, the Fairy Tale Trail will be renovated. There is an accessible bathing ramp at the bathing area in summer.

Parts of the area have been attacked by the spruce bark beetle, which has caused spruce trees to die. These trees easily become brittle and can break off. Please exercise caution and care when visiting these areas.

The nature reserve invites you to many different activities and discoveries, but you don't really need to do much. It is enough to take a walk and enjoy the nature of Ågelsjön.
