Beskrivelse
The Skvaleberget nature reserve is set aside to protect the largest area of yew inärke. The yew is believed to have grown at Skvaleberget as a remnant, ever since the ice sheet retreated 10,000 years ago. Kilsbergskanten was then a seashore facing the Baltic Sea. The reserve is 90-185 meters above sea level. Several streams and springs run down into hollows, perpendicular to the slope. The yew usually grows on the edges of streams or where moving groundwater provides moisture.

Rutevejledning
Drive from Garphyttan towards Frösvidal. Take a small road to the left, 100 meters before the sign "Häggen". Turn right at the T-junction. Information board is visible after about a hundred meters.
Regler
**In the nature reserve it is forbidden to
- bring an unleashed dog
- make a fire
- ride horses other than on the existing farm road through the reserve
- drive motor vehicles on the road through the reserve
- park a motor vehicle, caravan or trailer other than temporarily and in a specially designated place
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead trees and bushes
- picking, digging up or otherwise damaging tree and shrub seedlings, as well as flowers or other plants
- camping
- organize orientation checks or marked trails
- put up a board, poster, placard, sign, inscription or similar
