Norra Ässundet - Hjälmarbaden

At Hjälmarbaden there are parking facilities, a bathing area with jetties and also kayak rental through a kayakomat. From Hjälmarbaden, depending on the wind direction, you can choose to paddle west or east of Ässön. Both sides of the island have similar nature, reeds on the shore and the island is lined with rocks and small islands. Hemfjärden is a popular resting place for migratory birds and also a popular nesting site for many species. The chances of seeing eagles and ospreys are good. There is a summer café at Norra Ässundet and many cyclists pass through here every summer on their tour around Hemfjärden. At Norra Ässundet there is also the opportunity to park and dock at the beach.
