Kanotföreningen - Fågeludden

Time required: one hour one way. Difficulty level: 1 Easy. Suitable for beginners. There is paid street parking at the canoe association. The canoe association rents out kayaks and canoes during the summer vacation. The route offers varied paddling and is lined with residential areas, park environment, marina and after the marina you paddle through the popular Osets nature reserve. There are restaurants both in the marina and at Naturens hus. Downstream of the marina, the river is busy in summer. If you meet a boat, you must keep to the right. Once you have passed Naturens hus, you can make a detour into Lillån. Lillån offers quiet paddling with a jungle-like character. There are also good opportunities to see beavers in Lillån. At Ulla Billqvist park you can get out for a coffee. Paddling further up Lillån after Ulla Billqvist park is possible, but it narrows and becomes shallower the further upstream you paddle. At Fågeludden, Svartån has deposited sand bars during historical times. Now the sand is overgrown with grass but along the waterline the sandy beaches remain. Fågeludden is a suitable resting place near Naturens hus. In addition to the grass areas, there are some bench tables set up here. There are barbecue areas a short walk south.
