Beskrivelse
The primary pine forest on Västra Njaltaheden moorland offers the visitor and easy hike on the undulating moor. Most of the pine forest is young, but here and there you find truly ancient pines aged up to 500 years. On these old-timers you can see scars in the bark from several forest fires. The area is 1.9 square kilometres in size.

The reserve lies about 40 kilometres southeast of Arjeplog. The most suitable way in is from the south, from the E45, Inlandsvägen, at Avaviken and northwards on the road to Storbodsund. About 4 kilometres after Storbodsund you turn right on to a logging road which leads through the reserve and on to the nearby nature reserve Östra Njaltaheden.
Rutevejledning
The reserve is located about 40 kilometers southeast of Arjeplog. The most suitable access to the reserve from the public road is from the south, from European highway 45, Inlandsvägen, at Avaviken and north on the road to Storbodsund. About 4 kilometers after Storbodsund, turn right onto a forest road that leads through the reserve and on to the nearby nature reserve Östra Njaltaheden.
Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is permitted to: - camp - hike - drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground - make fires - pick berries and edible mushrooms - fish and hunt in accordance with applicable laws
It is not allowed to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
