Beskrivelse
Stormyran Nature Reserve is a vast mire area around some streams. Here you will see a mosaic of different wetland types, waterlogged forests and small lakes. Larger areas are so-called string mires. This is a kind of wetland typical to Norrbotten, with dry strings alternating with wet flarks. In spring, the area closest to Spadnovarebäcken stream floods and large numbers of birds rest in the area. In the past, settlers made hay on the mire. Traces of mire haymaking can be seen to this day in the form of hay racks, barns and haymakers’ hut. The area is 20 square kilometres in size.

Kommunikationsflows
The nature reserve lies in Boden and Jokkmokk municipalities, about 20 kilometres northwest of Vidsel. From road 374 at Vidsel turn northwards towards Bodträskfors. A logging road leads almost as far as Lillbergsträsket in the reserve. Logging roads around Spadnovare will also get you near the reserve.

The nature reserve is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Vidsel. From road 374 at Vidsel, head north towards Bodträskfors. A forest road leads almost to Lillbergsträsket in the reserve. Forest roads around Spadnovare also take you close to the reserve.
Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
