The reserve lies on the north side of the Torne river about 6 kilometres north of Pajala community. A logging road leads past the reserve, but is closed off from the public road.

The reserve is located on the north side of the Torne River about 6 kilometers north of Pajala town. There is a forest road passing by the reserve, it is barred from the public road.

All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:

• camping
• hiking
• drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
• build a small fire
• picking berries and edible mushrooms
• fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws

It is not allowed to:

• drive a motorized vehicle on bare ground
• damage living or dead trees, plants or the ground
• harm or disturb animals by, for example, climbing trees or collecting beetles
• littering Are you planning to make a fire during your excursion in the reserve? Then bring your own firewood and spare dry trees and fallen tree trunks, which are scarce in today's forests. They are home to many rare species that depend on dead wood!
