Beskrivelse
The reserve is highly scenic with one of the finest undisturbed pine forests in the region. Here you find boulder strewn land, waterlogged forests and mires. The area is 4.2 square kilometres in size.

Kursuniskanmaa lies 35 km northwest of Pajala. From Pajala drive towards Käymäjärvi, and about 4 kilometres before the village turn off eastwards and follow the logging road to the end. The road does not lead all the way to the reserve.

The reserve is located 3.5 kilometers northwest of Pajala. From Pajala drive towards Käymäjärvi, about 4 kilometers before the village turn east and follow the forest road to its end. The road does not lead all the way to the reserve.
Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- make a fire
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground
- fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
