Beskrivelse
Germandön is one of the larger islands in Luleå archipelago. The nature reserve on the island consists largely of old-growth spruce forest. Around the reserve the forest is heavily impacted by present-day forestry. Along the water's edge there is a beach. Further north there is a long shallow boulder-strewn water meadow with many interesting plant species, including sea buckthorn. On the island there are two lighthouses. The area is 3.2 square kilometres in size and snowmobiling is banned on the entire island.

Germandön lies off Ersnäsfjärden bay, about 10 km southeast of Kallax village. The nature reserve lies on the west side of the island.

Germandön is located off Ersnäsfjärden, about 1 mile southeast of Kallax village. The nature reserve is located on the western side of the island.
Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hike
- make a fire in the designated area
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- fishing and hunting in accordance with applicable laws
It is forbidden to drive snowmobiles on the island, but you can park in the beach area in connection with picnics. It is not permitted to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
