Beskrivelse
Alajaure is a fairly inaccessible nature area on the boundary between forest and fell. The area here has an abundance of birdlife. This is partly due to the undisturbed character of the area, partly that there are both mountain and forest species. The nature reserve is 170 square kilometres in size. Snowmobiles are only permitted on snowmobile trails.

The nature reserve lies about 20 kilometres north of Kiruna, on the east shore of Lake Torneträsk. There are no roads near the nature reserve.

The nature reserve is located about 20 kilometers north of Kiruna on the eastern side of Lake Torneträsk. There are no roads near the nature reserve.
Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground on marked trails
- fishing in accordance with applicable laws
During the winter you can make fires wherever you want, but in summer it is only allowed near water. There are some restrictions on hunting in the area, see the reserve decision for details.
