Vartorps kvarn

The nostalgic Vartorp mill, which you’ll see when you pass the Mörrum River, has an atmosphere all its own. In the winter, you might see a white-throated dipper on the stones of the rapids. If the ground is covered by snow, you will often see slides and tracks of otters. In early spring, the mouth of the river at Övrasjön is a good place to watch for resting waterfowl. The ancient oaks of Vartorp are favoured by both woodpeckers and rare fungi and lichens.
