Take a look upward as you enter or exit through the library’s entrance doors, and you’ll discover an embellishment that many unfortunately overlook while in a hurry. Against a sky-blue background, an imaginative painting comes to life, inhabited by birds of various kinds. The mythical bird Phoenix soars with a book in its beak, eagles are on the hunt, and magpies sit and chat with each other.
