"Grand" is intended to be a jewel both for the building and for Ljungby centre. Interesting color reflections in the circular shapes act like an ongoing game, a here and now, depending on when and where the viewer is. During the model work, the artist observed the building's size and asymmetrical shape, the new extensions, and the relatively small rectangular extension where the entrance is located. According to the artist, a clear "sign" showing where the entrance is is required. The size of the letters has been adapted to be readable from a distance such as e.g. the railway park and Stora torget. The design language and expression is intended to show the building's proud tradition and generously signal culture and festivity during all days of the year. At the same time, perhaps the play of light can make someone happy and give a hint as to what activity is going on in the building.

The material is a specially treated glass that is embedded in stainless rings. The glass reflects light in a color-changing manner.
