Beskrivelse
Granhultsberget is the southernmost part of the bedrock ridge that begins up in Målaskog. Here, the mountain rises 40 meters above the surroundings, and from the top of the ridge, you have a fantastic view.
The area on the ridge has been used for quarrying black granite. What remains today are several open pits and an embankment after a railway that was used for the transport of stone by horse and cart. In addition, there is an “installation” of stone blocks resembling a large chair or sofa, which according to reports was built to appease the trolls during the quarrying. On the western side of the ridge, there was also previously a silver mine.
