The memorial stone at Åkerby Vägskäl. It was here at Åkerby Vägskäl that many people began their journey towards the country in the west, dreaming of freedom and salvaging their homeland.
But Ljuder lived on in their hearts. Vilhelm Moberg brought them to life in his epic about the emigrants. Ljuder is also known as Sweden's most famous parish thanks to Vilhelm Moberg's novel about the emigrants.
There are also tables and benches to enjoy the place with coffee or food.
