Beskrivelse
On the edge of Stora Alvaret, seven kilometers north of Eketorps borg, lies T Träbyborg. It is unique in the Nordic region with its three interconnected ring walls. When the archaeologist Rhezelius visited the castle in 1634, he could still see more than 80 Iron Age houses. Today, not much remains as the castle has long been used as a quarry. For several years it has been hidden among trees and bushes, but you can now see the castle again, which is popularly known as the forgotten castle.
At the end of the 18th century, there was a house called Christineborg in the south-western part of the castle. Now only the foundations of it remain.
In the 1960s, an Iron Age house was investigated in the north-eastern castle. The finds were not many, but included animal bones and melted glass, which were interpreted as remains of glass craftsmanship.
