Beskrivelse
The nature around Nybro is shaped by the ice sheet that released its grip about 18,000 years ago. Here in Svartbäcksmåla, you can stand on the shore of the Baltic Ice Lake. The lake that was created by the meltwater from the ice sheet.
The forest in and around Svartbäcksmåla is dominated by spruce forest, but pine, maple and aspen are also common here. In the nature reserve there is also deciduous forest and here you can find, cornflower, marsh violet and water lily.
If you walk from Linnéasjön and follow the water's path towards Svartbäcksmåla, you can see the unique environment created by the winding path of S:t Sigfridsån through the landscape. Here, the aerial roots of the coarse alders give the landscape an almost exotic look. The river's marshlands are home to yellow sword lily, and here you can see both white-tailed godwit, kingfisher and even common tern.

Rutevejledning
Drive highway 25 from Kalmar towards Växjö and about 600 meters from Glasrondellen turn left. Follow the road to the large parking lot.
Regler
In the nature reserve you are not allowed:
- Destroy or damage any fixed natural object or lying or standing dead trees,
- make fires other than on the fireplaces that are provided,
- ride a bicycle or horse other than on marked trails,
- bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet on occasions other than hunting
- climbing trees or otherwise disturbing wildlife
- drive motorized vehicles except on roads and motocross tracks,
- put up a board, sign, inscription, poster or similar device without special permission from the municipality
- dumping garden waste
- digging up, picking or breaking shrubs, brushwood, herbs, mosses or lichens, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms for domestic use,
- using the area for organized competitions or exercises or similar without permission from the municipality.
