There is much to see and discover around Målsjön. The bird club has marked three hiking trails of varying lengths that you can hike on. Don't forget your picnic basket! There are two picnic tables framed with a fence at the bird tower and a picnic table in the meadow barn. The trails are equipped with benches and information signs with QR codes.
Along the yellow hiking trail you walk across the meadows through the old aspen forest to Hästnäsets bird tower, over Virån, around Målsjön, passing by Virån at Porjus and then back past the meadow barn to the bird tower. The trail is about 5 km long and marked with yellow markings.

The right of public access gives you many opportunities when you visit nature. Remember that it also places some demands on you so that we can all enjoy nature and keep it clean and tidy. Some tips are:
- You are not allowed to walk on anyone's property or plantings.
- Take your garbage home with you
- Park your vehicle in places that do not disturb nature, residents and other road users
