Lilla Åkebosjön

Lilla Åkebosjön is located north of Stora Åkebosjön in Stora Hammarsjöns FVO and the lakes are connected by a stream. If you go west from Hultsfred, you will reach the lake after about 6 km. The lake is surrounded by pine and birch forest. On the north side dominates pasture. On the south side it is more rocky and there grows pine, porc and blueberries. Near the road on the south side and on the east side of the lake there are some rocks.

In the north-western part of the lake is a small island. This area is shallow and has a lot of vegetation. The bottom consists largely of mud, and large areas are covered with water lilies, bladderwrack, sedge, sedge and horsetail. Lilla Åkebosjön is a nutrient-poor lake that has very clear water in some years. You can park next to the road that passes the lake. Birds thrive in the shallow lake, and in some years cranes roost on the shores.
