Gravfältet vid Långeruda

The seven large Iron Age graves are made up of differently shaped stone circles. The stone circle is our most common prehistoric burial form. Most stone circles were built during the Iron Age, when the dead were burnt on a pyre, after which the burnt bones were placed in an earthen vessel.

The dead were often buried with personal belongings such as jewelry and tools.
