**Gladhammar mines are among the oldest in the country.
Archaeological investigations in 2009-2011 have found that some form of mining and metal handling has existed as early as the 12th century.
There is information on the history of the mines and a place to have a coffee and look at the view. There is a short walking trail that goes past the mines and down to the lake.
