Gårdby-stjärnan

This idyllic tour of eastern Öland has everything you could wish for. Starting at Eksgården Krog och Restaurang, the tour heads south and in Skarpa Alby turns east towards the coast and Sandby with Sandby church on the left. On the way to Sandbäck we pass the nature reserve Åby Sandbackar. Södra and Norra Näsby are also passed before we reach Nedre Ålebäck. Take a detour to Gårdby harbour, which now lives a quiet life but where there is a small swimming cove for those who fancy a swim. We make our way back to Gårdby and via Upper Ålebäck to the cosy and popular Bläsinge harbour. Despite a more sedate activity, some fishermen still go out from here. There is also a small harbour restaurant, a paddle court and a long nice beach to enjoy. The tour then rolls on up to Bläsinge, Hagby for a little loop around Dörby and a small forest walk and detour before meadows take over the last bit to Gårdby.
