Gamleby Kulturhus

**Gamleby Kulturhus has a long history behind it.

**In the beginning, Gamleby Kulturhus was a courthouse. Today it is a cultural monument.

The oldest courthouse was probably built in the 16th century and was followed by several courthouses. The present courthouse was built in 1827-28 to drawings by master builder P Österlöf. The courthouse has included a courthouse, economy building and detention room. The courthouse was moved to Västervik in 1960.

In addition to its long history as a courthouse, many events and cultural events are held there today.

The cultural association Ting för alla is the association that runs Gamleby Kulturhus today. Chairman and contact person is Jörgen Bergström. It started in the summer of 2015. In addition to Jörgen Bergström, the five board members are Ann-Sofie Lundberg (treasurer, runs a knitting café), Rikard Månsson, Helena Söderström, Nanna Walderhaug (secretary).
