8. Lägerhyddorna

As the number of men in the regiment increased, more barracks were needed. In 1903, two so-called camp huts were built. They even had washrooms with drains for washing water.

One of the buildings was designed to be used for a variety of purposes, not just as an accommodation facility. It was used for church services, theater, lectures and, not least, as a gymnasium.

The soldiers' home was located on the road from the camp huts to the shooting range. It was inaugurated in 1898 and was intended to be a meeting place for conscripts where they could hear the word of God.
