21. Proviantförrådet

The building was often called the pork store. The reason was that the salted pork, sugar, beans, salt etc. were stored there, basically everything needed for cooking at the regiment.

On Sunday, August 28, 1927, the memorial stone was unveiled. The stone weighs eight tons and it was not without drama that it was transported from Hultsfred station to its current location.

The memorial stone is surrounded by eight stones, one for each of the original companies from the "indelta time".

The text on the memorial stone reads:

"1685 held Kungl. Kalmar Regiment held its first regimental meeting at Hultsfred. The regiment's regular meeting place 1796-1918. The regiment erected the stone in 1927."

The storehouse is today owned by Hultsfred Hembygdsförening and houses the exhibition Rätt & Slätt.
