Forsheda Kvarnagård

Forsheda Mill is located next to River Storån canoe trail, 4 km west of Forsheda. The height of fall of River Storån next to Kvarnagården has been used for various industrial establishments since the Middle Ages. Historical sources show that there was a mill on the site already in 1697. The current building was erected in 1869 with two storeys and is timbered with Falun-red cover boarding with rib flanges. The mill was in use until 1959. You can read about the history of the mill on the information boards. Next to the mill is a red brick power station from 1932, and west of the mill is Forshedaverken Industrial Museum. The museum has old machines and objects that were used and manufactured by the company Forshedaverken.
