Konstverk Krusig fossil

The artwork Krusig fossil is made of diabase and granite. It was previously located in Åbro Park until the park was to be redesigned, and it was relocated to Vråen Park in 2024.Pål Svensson became early on interested in the aesthetics of minimalism. In the 1980s, he was inspired by the works and theoretical writings of Donald Judd. Judd is said to have remarked: "If you hesitate between symmetry and asymmetry – choose symmetry." As a result, Pål Svensson uses symmetry as the starting point in his creative process. He is also inspired by various stone formations in Europe that have been shaped both by humans and nature. The interplay between the stone (the sculpture) and nature is central to his work. The artwork was purchased by the municipality of Värnamo in 1992.
