Beskrivelse
The nature reserve consists of four limestone bogs and a large proportion of nutrient-rich and calcareous spruce forest. It is mainly the limestone bog called Vackermyren that has the most visitors. Most people can get out into the orchid bog via a wide wooden ramp that can accommodate wheelchairs or prams. The flora in the limestone marshes consists of various orchids as well as species such as marsh marigold, prickly pear, smooth star, axag.
Two-thirds of the nature reserve consists of nutrient-rich and calcareous spruce forest. With a mobile soil water, there are good conditions for a diversity of species.

Rutevejledning
Från Hammerdals centrum och cirka 4 kilometer längs E45 söderut (mot Östersund) finns en avtagsväg till vänster mot Vackermyren. Följ vägen cirka 1 kilometer in mot Solberg, sväng sedan vänster och följ skyltning ca 10 kilometer till parkering och entré.
Regler
Welcome to Vackermyren. Keep in mind that in the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of any kind, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
- damage the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make fires, except in specially designated places
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road
- bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet, except when hunting.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
