Beskrivelse
Oxhagen is a wooded southern slope on the northern shore of Lygnen. The reserve is difficult to access and not suitable for outdoor recreation, the terrain slopes steeply and there are many fallen trees in the forest.
The slope is largely covered by lush primeval mixed deciduous forest of oak, alder, lime and birch. The terrain rises in steps through mountain slopes and intermediate terraces. In the higher parts of the reserve, there is an old, tall oak forest.
Several red-listed species have been found in the area, such as the lesser spotted woodpecker, wood pigeon, southern tussock moss and mealy lichen.

Rutevejledning
Oxhagen is located in Kungsbacka municipality.Directions: The reserve is located just north of Lygnern, approximately halfway between Fjärås and Sätila. There is no parking or signage. The reserve is not adapted for outdoor activities.
Regler
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage the vegetation, e.g. by digging up plants,
- digging or otherwise damaging solid natural objects or surface formations
- camping
- burning,
- riding a horse
- bringing an unleashed dog or other stray pet
- organize marked trails or orientation checks
- erecting a jetty or mooring device, and
- carrying out commercial activities.
