Halmstad C – Simlångsdalen, Hallandsleden

This stage takes you from Halmstad's travel center, where trains and the ferry come in. You walk through Halmstad and follow the embankment of the old Bolmenbanan railway, which ran between Halmstad and Bolmen. From Halmstad, the hiking trail "Europaled 1" comes in from Danish Grenå and connects further hiking on Hallandsleden just before Simlångsdalen.

You follow the marking for the bike trail Hylteleden up to Snöstorp's church, where you turn off and follow Fylleåleden to the residential area Brogård to later get on Hylteleden again up to Simlångsdalen. The entire stage runs on a car-free trail and follows the old embankment for the Bolmenbanan up to Simlångsdalen, where it connects to the Hallandsleden stage between Assman - Gyltige. This section can also be taken by bus. Take bus 318 or 145 from Halmstad travel center to Simlångsdalen and get off at e.g. stop Bobergs kvarn, Ljungblomman or get off at stop Simlångsdalen and follow the road Hopalyckan and Backensväg down towards Brearedssjön where you connect to the trail but then you miss e.g. the grocery store.
