Beskrivelse

Årnarp consists of a stretch of the Fylleån valley. On the slopes down to the river you will find both deciduous mixed forest and cultivated pasture. The bird life in the forest is rich with a large number of species. The ground is home to, for example, wood anemone, brook burnet and hop flowers. There are no paths in the reserve, which means that it can be difficult to get around in the steep terrain.

Although the arable land is not many hundred meters away, the wild forest and the steep cliffs down to the rushing water of the Fylleån River create a feeling of being in the wilderness. Here in the eastern part of the reserve, the trees are dense. The forest is dominated by alder and ash, while the shrub layer is mainly made up of beech.

Regler

To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.

In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:

  • camping,
  • bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet,
  • make fires and mark out tracks,
  • organizing an orienteering check or competition.
