Åkulla boksskogar
Välkommen till Åkulla bokskogar
The stage goes through the area called Åkulla Bokskogar. There are 13 beautiful nature reserves here that contain fine beech forests, clear lakes and dramatic cliffs. The trail passes Bexell's talking stones, which consist of 160 stones and rock walls with carved names and sayings. Öströö sheep farm is also a nice place, where, in addition to watching their cute lambs, you can also have coffee or lunch. Whether you end your day in Ästad or Åkulla, you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a good dinner in a restaurant and enjoy a hot sauna.
**Accommodation
In Åkulla there are two shelters with campsites, one close to Friluftsgården and one about 150 meters out on an island in Lake Yasjön where it is possible to go out with a cable car raft. The cable car raft is in operation from July 1 to mid-October. Toilet, drinking water and firewood are available at Åkulla Outdoor Resort.
The wind shelter at the stage goal in Ästad can accommodate 4-5 adults and is beautifully located in Långanskogen's Nature Reserve on the shore of Byasjön overlooking the lake. There is a fireplace and toilet. The shelter was built in 2020 by Varberg Municipality in the outdoor project Outwest with funding from Lokalt Ledd Utveckling Halland.
