Gotlands Museum Fornsalen

In an entire block on Strandgatan in the World Heritage City of Visby, visitors encounter the island's rich and exciting history. Here you will find, among other things, the famous picture stones, the treasury with the Spillings Treasure - the world's largest Viking silver treasure, genuine 13th-century interiors, basic exhibitions on the worlds of the Vikings and medieval church art, and Gotlandium, a basic exhibition on the island's bedrock with the best of the museum's fossil collection. Throughout the year, various temporary exhibitions are shown, always with current themes.

There is also a restaurant, café and shop.
