Nya Herrgården

As a last glimpse of the era of the great mill owners, Nya Herrgården was built in 1920. The manager Tord Magnuson and his wife Elisabet took care of the then somewhat dilapidated Högbo Bruk to restore and modernize. They lived here in their old age together with their dog Vappo.

When the Second World War came, they were all long gone. The New Manor was used as a refugee camp, mainly for Polish and Finnish refugees. Later it also served as workers' housing for people who worked at the Ironworks in Sandviken, a boys' home, a housewives' school and a computer training center.

Nya Herrgården and Gamla Herrgården are the perfect venues for weddings, parties and conferences. Here, grand meals are served under the auspices of Högbo Brukshotell with a focus on locally and locally produced good food in fantastic environments - always with a happy smile.
