Källparken

Söderhamn is sometimes described as a green oasis with extensive parks, flower arrangements and other vegetation. These green outdoor spaces have also made the town famous and talked about, especially Källparken, which is Söderhamn's number one parade park. In this park, you can enjoy a sumptuous floral display and botanize for hours.

The name originates from the turn of the century, when parts of the city's population fetched their water at Uhr's spring, which is located in the northern part of the park. When the park was redesigned and given a new look, it also became a demonstration park.

All the flowers that are planted around the city can be found in a planting area of around 330 m². Around 9,000 summer annuals show off their beauty and color in carefully combined arrangements. Each plant also wears its own nameplate with pride. The lush flower beds are framed by green lawns with several beautiful old park trees, such as the maple (Acer platanoides), beech (Fagus silvatica) and lime (Tilia cordata). Small stefandra (Stefandra incisa) grows as a ground cover, framing and separating the park from the street.

In spring, there are lots of beautiful tulips to enjoy.
