Beskrivelse
In 1888, there was a major fire on Gåsberget. A large area was almost completely burnt down. A disaster then, but what has followed has become an oasis for many unusual plants and animals. The first thing to return after the fire were the deciduous trees. Small birch and aspen plants grew large and took over the forest completely. Gåsberget has probably become one of the country's best-preserved examples of a so-called deciduous fire.

The area is located 10 km from Dalfors (50 km north of Rättvik) on the prominent ridge of Gåsberget.
Regler
In the reserve it is not allowed to...
- damage growing or dead - standing or fallen - trees, stumps and bushes
- drive a motorized vehicle on the terrain, applies to both bare ground and snow-covered ground
Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is also not permitted to:
- dig up plants, pick mosses, lichens and wood-living fungi or collect animals (such as insects)
- carry out or conduct competitions, camps and other major or recurring organized events.
