Ludvika Ulrika kyrka

Ulrika parish was founded in 1736 and was named after the then Queen Ulrika Eleonora, wife of Frederick I. She also donated communion vessels and a personally embroidered chalice to the church. The church was consecrated on 1 June 1737 by Bishop Eric Benzelius the Elder. The chipboard-clad timber church consists of a rectangular nave with a lower and narrower, straight-ended choir in the east and a gunpowder room in the west. The sacristy is located behind the choir. The church has round-arched windows and is covered by a chipboard-clad gable roof. The entrance is through the gunpowder room in the west. The nave has barrel vaults, behind the triumphal arch a lower straight-ended choir covered by a flat wooden ceiling with paintings. Above the altar is a painting showing "Christ at the table with Simon the Pharisee". There is also a baptismal font in the choir from a later period. The pulpit hangs on the epistle side of the nave and to the west is an organ gallery, on the gallery barrier are pictures of Christ and the twelve apostles. Right next to the church stands a red-painted belfry, built in 1752 by Gabriel Bragner.
