The area is located about 2 miles north of Rättvik.

Within the reserve it is not allowed to...

• damage growing or dead, standing or fallen trees, stumps and bushes with the exception of the users of the properties Kärvsåsen 3:20, 3:12 and 83:1, and the managers of the snowmobile trail through the area. They have the right to keep the paths and trails depicted on the map in Appendix 3 free from fallen trees. In addition, with the permission of the County Administrative Board, trees may be felled or pruned if they risk damaging houses or other facilities, inside or outside the reserve.
• drive motorized vehicles in the terrain, applies to both bare ground and snow-covered ground, with the exception of driving snowmobiles when the ground is snow-covered on the marked snowmobile trail depicted on the map in Appendix 3, and the users of the holiday homes marked on the map in Appendix 3 may drive snowmobiles through the reserve when the ground is snow-covered. In addition, with the permission of the County Administrative Board, users of the holiday homes marked in Appendix 3 may drive to and from these during the bare ground period.

• dig up plants, pick mosses, lichens and wood-living fungi or collect animals,
• carry out or conduct competitions, camps and other major or recurring organized events,
