Lilltuppen naturreservat

Lilltuppen is the small reserve with the great natural values. All in all in a beautiful setting with large boulders, fire-damaged old stumps and a large variety of species.

The biological values ​​in the area are very high. The forest in Lilltuppens nature reserve has grown up on its own after a fire. Damage to the trees, so-called fire sounds, which can clearly be found in stumps, indicates that the forest is a late-stage leaf burn. Now there are mostly pine and spruce, but the element of aspen and seal is great. The age of the forest is estimated at about 110 years. The trees in the forest consist of younger and older trees of varying sizes if every other.

 Dead wood is spread in the area both in the form of standing dry trees and fallen flames. The ground is blocky with elements of really large boulders. A smaller swamp path extends through the area and creates a variation in the soil flora. In an inventory of lichens and wood sponges in the Lilltuppen, among other things, violet gray tagellas, yarn slaves, dwarf beetle larvae, catfowl lettuce, pine cone, woolen pecker, meat pork and scent skin were found. Traces of corrugated bark beetle, smaller and larger marrow bores and three-pointed woodpecker have also been observed in the area. All in all, this shows good conditions for large species richness both among plants and animals.
