Beskrivelse
The reserve, which is 134 hectares in size, is located on Leksand municipality's second highest mountain. A marked trail/nature trail takes you from the forest road in the south up to and through the reserve. From the top, 521 meters above sea level, there is no view but well in the slopes to the southeast. From the viewpoint you have a view of the forest landscape for miles.
The terrain in the reserve is hilly with varied natural forest, fault lines, marshes and a couple of small lakes. In the forest, which has been left to grow without major human influence, there are the qualities that give a natural forest, old and dead trees, various large trees, glades and lying trees. Variation that provides good habitats for species that do not survive in the production forest.

Rutevejledning
From the center of Leksand follow Dala-Järnavägen west. After about 15 km turn left towards Dala-Floda. After another 14 km turn left towards Dala Floda. After almost a kilometer turn right. 450 meters into the forest road you can turn right up to the reserve, a small narrow road goes up to a turnaround where you can park.
Regler
In the reserve it is not allowed to...
- damage trees including dry trees, dry stumps, windfalls and flames,
- use firewood or dry twigs from living trees or from the ground for fires,
- picking mosses, woodland fungi or lichens other than marginally for species identification
- foraging for insects and other animals by stripping bark
- climbing trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey nest
- driving a motorized vehicle.
