Beskrivelse
The Västra Skällön nature reserve consists of ancient grazing land and the surrounding waters.
Trees are dotted across the island, as well as juniper and denser thickets of blackthorn, hawthorn and rose hips. The beaches are stony with some gravel, but there are also areas of coastal meadow. There is a road link to the island.
The rules for the nature reserve are shown in the link below, but, for example, dogs and cats must be kept on a lead and you are not allowed to pitch a tent or park a caravan for a long period, drive a motor vehicle, park other than in designated places, or light a fire other than in a place designated for the purpose.

Rutevejledning
Follow the road to Sturkö. Between Senoren and Sturkö the road passes over Västra Skällön. There is a car park on the eastern side of the road.
Regler
You are welcome to visit Västra Skällön, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- destroy or damage any fixed natural object or surface formation
- damage growing trees and shrubs or vegetation in general by digging up plants disturb wildlife
- letting dogs or cats loose in the area
- making fires other than in designated areas
- using radios, tape recorders or similar devices in a disruptive manner
- permanently pitching a tent or caravan
- parking other than in designated areas
