Valhall is a magnificent viewpoint above a vertical drop into Lake Orlunden. The place has always been called "the ancestral stupa", but whether it was actually used as an ancestral stupa is shrouded in historical obscurity. Valhall is mentioned in a boundary protocol from 1709 when the boundary between the villages of Holje (Olofström) and Jämshög was established: "... a swart high and very burnt Bärgklippa, which Åboerne uti Hollie by calls Swarta varhallen...".
It is possible to drive all the way up to Valhall. The road up winds beautifully through the beech forest. Bring a coffee basket and sit down to enjoy a beautiful spring morning. There is also a barbecue area here.

Rutevejledning
Follow the sign from Östra Ringvägen where you turn onto P.J. Rösjös väg. From P.J. Rösjös väg turn onto Valhallavägen and follow the gravel road up to Valhall.
