ARK56 - Blekinges länkade kustleder
Länkade kustleder i ett Unesco biosfärområde
**To Hanö, which is the entrance to Blekinge archipelago, you take the ferry from Nogersund or with your own boat. There is a well-kept and pleasant guest harbor with most facilities that may be needed.
Hanö is a popular destination for excursions and there are many exciting places to visit on the island. A number of well-marked hiking trails lead the visitor around the island and reduce the risk of getting lost. After a day filled with adventure and nature experiences, there is nothing wrong with a bite to eat at Fisky Business and if you want to stay more days on the island, there is a newly renovated hostel to stay in. In addition, there are more accommodation options with private individuals or in the lighthouse keeper's house at the top of the island.
From the top of Fyrkullen you have a wide view of the island and the surrounding landscape. A path leads down to the boulder cave Rövarkulan, which is said to have been a hiding place for pirates and snappers. In a granite wall just next to it is the Dragon Mark, a thin, folded layer of older gneiss, which, according to legend, appeared when the lighthouse was lit for the first time in 1869. A kite is said to have been blinded by the light and crashed into the rock wall.
Hanö has a rich cultural history. There have probably been fishing settlements here since the Middle Ages, and the island has had a permanent population since the 1830s. The small museum in the harbor tells about life in the past on the small island with the big stories.
Feel free to take the ferry from Nogersund to Hanö and the timetable is here https://blekingetrafiken.se/
