**The frog sculpture is created by the famous artist Per Hasselberg and is located right next to Brunnshallarna and Naturum.

The frog represents a girl playing with a frog. It was begun in 1888 and is said to symbolize the natural world. The girl has certain frog-like features. This may be explained by the fact that the French word for teenage girl is une grenouille, which means frog.

Per Hasselberg lived between 1850 and 1894. He grew up in Blekinge, but went to Paris at a young age, which was the focal point for artists at the time. His profession was sculptor and carver. The sculptor Francois Jouffroys became his teacher. Per Hasselberg had his breakthrough with The Snowbell, presented at the 1881 Paris Salon. He was an admirer of the technical ideals of French sculpture, but chose Nordic motifs.
