Beskrivelse
When you visit Björkeryd nature reserve, you get to experience the Bräkneån valley with a varied and beautiful cultural landscape.
The northern part of the reserve consists of a ridge that in some places slopes steeply down towards Bräkneån.
The river flows quietly along the eastern part of the reserve and is bordered by shore meadows and food meadows that are regularly flooded. Higher up in the reserve there are pastures and meadows with mainly oak and birch. The north-western parts consist of cultivated land.

Rutevejledning
If you are coming from the south, take the E22 towards Bräkne-Hoby. Drive through the community and after 1 km turn left towards Björkeryd. After 4 km you will find the reserve, at Bräkneån on the right side of the road. After another 1 km turn towards "Backaryd 13", where parking lots are directly to the right down by the river.If you come from the north, drive the road from Backaryd towards Bräkne-Hoby. Turn at the first sign towards Björkeryd. After 4 km you will reach the reserve, directly to the left after the river. Parking lots are on the left side by the river.
Regler
You are welcome to visit Björkeryd, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- destroy or damage any fixed natural object or surface formation
- disturb wildlife
- let dogs loose in the area
- make a fire
- damage growing trees or shrubs or vegetation in general by digging up plants
- picking flowers between April 1 and July 1
- use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar in a disruptive manner
- driving motorized vehicles other than on roads intended for this purpose
- camping or pitching a caravan.
