ARK56 - Blekinges länkade kustleder
Länkade kustleder i ett Unesco biosfärområde
In Björkelycke Nature Reserve, you can experience old pine forests that have established themselves on the old sand dunes. Some pines are up to 150 years old. The reserve is easily accessible via Blekingeleden and several other trails.
The pine forest has grown up on the old sand fields and dunes inland from the coast. Thanks to the age of the forest and the fact that there is plenty of old pine and some dead wood, there is a valuable plant and animal life here today, including the moth fungus, pine tick and wood pigeon. In the eastern part of the reserve there is a training track for trotting horses.
