Alltidhults skola - dricksvatten

Tap for refilling drinking water located outside Alltidhult old school.

The school is known because one of Blekinge's great writers Harry Martinsson went to school here. Sven-Edvin Salje also stayed and nurtured his writing here when he married the school's teacher. But the building is also a cultural-historical memorial to our village schools and the Swedish school system, which introduced compulsory education as early as 1842. In the 1880s there were around 60 pupils at the school. In 1942 it was closed and there is much left to see from the school era. The building has therefore been a listed building since 2005.
