Nyvallen Fäbodvall

Nyvallen belongs to the villages Ava, Byn, Knutslunda, Hammarn, also the Swedish Church in Dellenbygden owns one of the cottages.

The embankment has been located at the raw corridor towards Västanängsskogen but was moved because the stream dried up some summers. The owners were then allocated allotments at Nyvallsjön. Vincent Stenberg raised his herd as late as between the years 1925-1929, he did not have his own stall but used to have the cows in the church's stall which was large with at least 40 stalls. He left around June 10, returned home on August 1.

The cottage contained a kitchen and a cool shed, furnished with a large bed, corner cupboards and benches.

Big weekend used to be 2 times in the summer with exchange with Selbergsvallen, Klövsvallen, Stömne and Råbergsvallen.

Event Vincent remembers was that a horse (owner Östrand, Glombo) drowned west of the embankment. An ox drowned in a spring 1 km from the rampart, then called Oxkällan.

In the fall and winter, Vincent used to live on the embankment to chop wood and drive timber.
