Höglandsleden etapp HÖ17 Ränneborg - Skuruhatt - En del av Smålandsleden

The stage from Ränneborg to Skuruhatt offers an exciting combination of culture and nature.

The walk starts at Ränneborg sports ground on the outskirts of Eksjö and leads you quickly towards the center of Eksjö. Here, a stop is recommended to discover the well-preserved wooden town of Eksjö - one of Sweden's most unique historic town centers with cobbled streets, 17th century houses and charming cafés.

After the stop in Eksjö, the trail continues south through dense forest, over small gravel roads and past sparkling lakes and bogs. You pass Prästängsudden by Lake Hunsnäsen, a quiet place to rest by the water.

The stage ends at Skuruhatt, one of Småland's most magnificent viewing mountains. Here, vast forest landscapes spread out below the mountain ridge - and nearby also awaits Skurugata, the dramatic rift valley.
